Welcome to Great Outdoors Services! Founded in 2000, our mission was to deliver superb lakeshore services to the Twin Cities on the beautiful Minnesota lakes. We pride ourselves in knowing we are the first ones on the lakes every year, breaking through the remaining ice; as well as the last ones to be off the lakes for the season as we watch them freeze up for the Minnesota winter ahead!
Our main focus has always been, and always will be to exceed the expectations of all of our clients. We strive to deliver excellence and hope you would be so pleased as to recommend us to others for all of their lakefront needs as well.

Meet The Team
Trevor Pope
President/Owner
Trevor is the President & Founder of Great Outdoors Services, LLC. He got his start in the lakefront business in the Spring of 2000. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the lakefront equipment business, and has a long list of many long-term happy clients, and continues to grow the business every year.
When he is not on the water working, he enjoys spending time with his Girlfriend Tatum, Sons Parker & Brooks, and Dogs Tito & Goose. Trevor also enjoys water skiing, down hill skiing, snowmobiling out west, golfing, hunting, watching sports, riding his Harley, Traveling as much as possible, and many other outdoor activities.

Jeff Peterson
General Manager
This is Jeff Peterson our General Manager. He is the most positive guy you will ever encounter. Jeff can do all things handy…from barge driving to being the top seller, Jeff is the man.
Mr. Social Butterfly can do it all.
Outside of work, Jeff loves to fish, hang out with friends & family, do all things water sports & walk barefoot the second he clocks out.

Tatum Van Hecke
Sales/Store Manager
Tatum is a ray of sunshine! Positive vibes only with this woman! Life is too short not to be. Tatum joined Great Outdoors in 2022 and is helping run our Lake Minnetonka location in Spring Park. She is always more than happy to jump into help in any situation at work and outside of work as well.
Outside of work, Tatum likes to spend time with her boyfriend Trevor, (might know him), family, play volleyball, spend time with the Dogs (Tito & Goose), and the Boys (Parker & Brooks) be on the water boating, & travel to her new favorite spot, Jackson Hole Wyoming & new spots, just travel as much as possible making memories, life is too short!
She looks very forward to helping you out with all of your lakefront needs!

Pete Haugh
Sales Manager/Dock Crew
Pete is one of the most happy people you will ever meet, and that is one of the biggest reasons among many others we wanted him to be a part of the team. Pete came on board in 2018 and has been a great addition with the most positive attitude you can ask for. He has quickly learned a lot about the business, and his eagerly gotten involved in sales and learning many other nuts and bolts items that make this company run on a daily basis.
During the off-season, Pete is a Pro Downhill Ski Instructor at Beaver Creek Resort in Vail, CO. He has 20 years experience, and is by far one of the best skiers we know hands down, so if you are ever in Colorado, and you and your family are looking for lessons from one of the best, be sure to look him up.
When not at work, Pete enjoys spending time with his Girlfriend Tressa, who is also a lot of fun and family time. He also enjoys water skiing, and helps Trevor in the Summer months with Youth Water Ski Lessons. Jim May
Service Manager/Boat Mechanic
Jim May started with Great Outdoors in 2017 and has been a great addition to the team. Jim and his family are actually long time clients of ours on Prior Lake, and Jim wanted to come on board with us after seeing our growth and ability to take on more and more clients. He actually has a full-time career outside of Great Outdoors and has the ability with his company to dedicate lots of time during busy seasons and beyond, working with us to help with all of our customers boat/pontoon needs year around.
Jim has extensive background in boat services with other companies he has worked for growing up including Wagon Bridge Marina clients on Prior Lake, personal boats/motors and a large boat marina in Wilmington North Carolina maintaining and servicing an extensive amount of very large ocean boats, jets skis and forklifts. Jim is happy to help all clients of Great Outdoors with any need on any vessel. Jim also offers mobile services during the boating season for any or all of your boating needs/repairs.
Always smiling, and joking around bringing a lot of fun to work daily. When Jim isn’t working at one place or the other, he likes to spend lots of time with his Wife and 3 kids, and wouldn’t care to be anywhere else but with them on the lake!

Russ Lis
Outside Sales Manager
Russ has been an amazing addition to our team with extensive property management experience and maintaining more properties than you can imagine.
He loves our business, and taking care of all of our clients from an outside prospective knowing what customer service is all about. He is our go to guy for making sure all is covered to protect your property as well as manage some day to day aspects and sales management.

Channing Tuterow
Boat Detail Manager
Channing is our boat detail manager. He is 36 years old and loves the outdoors. Channing was born and raised in Hoosier, Indiana; but has grown to love everything MN. He moved to Richfield on Dec 23rd, 2014, and has never looked back. Channing was in Prior Lake by 2015 and has raised his 6-year-old daughter there.
He loves the outdoors, docks, lifts, boats, and everything thereafter the lakes, and this business, has to offer.

Luke Byers
Dock Crew/Service Technician
This is Luke Byers. He is part of our dock crew & our service technician. Luke just moved back home from Colorado…the best decision he could make. Luke has been a huge addition to the team. We don’t know where we would be without witty, loving & workaholic Luke.
Outside of work, Luke likes to spend time with family & friends, golf, downhill ski & most outdoor activities.

Dorrian Kerzman
Barge Captain/Job Foreman
Dorrian started with Great Outdoors in Fall 2019. Dorrian was looking for work and was referred to us by fellow long time Spring Lake client. We hired him at the end of Summer for Fall Dock Season, and he has been a great addition to the team ever since.
Outside of work, Dorrian enjoys spending lots of time with his Wife, his family, and loves playing Golf, Basketball, and watching all sports. We look forward to his bright future at Great Outdoors as he continues to grow and learn this business.
